Out and about on Sunday

This Sunday I'm having a morning off.  It's been planned for quite a while: taking time out can be like that.

The main reason for having the morning free is to keep the energy levels up for a recital in the afternoon, which will be at St John's, Cranbourne.

The recital is part of the parish's 150th anniversary celebrations, and will take place in the new worship complex.

The weather is expected to be fairly warm, but if you're looking for good music and pleasant surroundings, then you're in luck because the whole complex is very well air-conditioned.

The programme includes Percy Grainger's Clog Dance: Handel in the Strand, the Coronation March from Meyerbeer's Le Prophete, and other music by Pierne, Franck, Bach and Grieg.

Entry is by donation (suggested amounts: $10.00 full, 8.00 concession, children $4.00).
